Miners set dates for season five tryouts.
Scranton, PA, November 5, 2010: The NEPA Miners have started recruiting for their Fifth Anniversary football season. Tryout and Combine dates have been set for Saturday March 19th and April 16th from 11:30am-2pm at the Riverfront Sports Complex in Scranton, Pennsylvania. A team information meeting with tryout details and season updates will be held in February at the Scranton Hilton for returning and new players at a date to be announced. Playing Semi-Professional football is not for everyone, the Miners are an elite group of men playing primarily for the love of the game, some for an opportunity to advance to a higher level. The Miners organization has won 28 games in four seasons and has had even greater success giving back to the community off the field. Listed below are the perks and requirements to dress in the the Black and Gold and compete for a Big North East Football Federation and Semi-Professional National Championship. • Home and away Uniforms provided on Game day

• Team Doctors available by appointment (Scranton & WB area)

PLAYER/STAFF REQUIREMENTS
• Commitment to practice and game schedule
• 10 Hours Minimum of Community Service (More Preferred)
• Dress Code - Polo Shirt and slacks to Road Games (Appropriate attire to home games, films and community service)
• Player Promotion – Sell 4 Season passes at $40 each ($20 Savings) or $130 player fee. (Guarantees Jersey #) Deadline 1st Team Practice/Tryout Fees are applied to Team Fee
• Responsible for Equipment – Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Misc Pads, Practice Pants, Belt, Spikes, Mouth Piece
• Background Check (Conducted by Team)
• All members are subject to random drug testing
• Players can play for no other team unless Professional
